To be honest - I prefer them cold, the aubergine just tastes more intense.
In a box, they are very easy to transport for a picnic or lunch in the office. In this case, I would recommend baking the eggplant a little shorter so that it retains its shape better. And I promise, if you follow the recipe, the eggplant will be tender and tasty and neither chewy nor bitter.
